Term draws to a close and I cannot wait to get off the routine for a while. Mapping the links over the last few weeks, I find myself posting a lot more pro Israeli material. While I cannot approve of every policy of the State of Israel, I would tend to favour Israel’s defence over their adversaries as a natural response to provocation. It’s all about survival, after all. I’ve also found myself linking to more pro-life material. I find the way that little babies are treated to be grotesque, given that they are human beings. The common tactic is to deny them their humanity until they reach a certain level of development, and before then treating them in a way that most of us wouldn’t treat animals. My outlook in these things is still instinctive and relatively uninformed, not properly thought out.

Scripture
You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt lose its savour, wherewith shall it be salted? It is good for nothing any more but to be cast out, and to be trodden on by men. You are the light of the world. A city seated on a mountain cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle and put it under a bushel, but upon a candlestick, that it may shine to all that are in the house. So let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven. (Mt 5:13-16)
