Low Sunday or the Feast of Divine Mercy? I’m occasionally surprised by attitudes towards the visionaries. They must always be treated sceptically, but here’s something quite good. In fact the Divine Mercy prayers are far, far older than Sr. Maria Faustina. I’m inclined to take this as Holy Father John Paul II did when he declared Low Sunday as the Feast of Divine Mercy.

In the news…
CMR shows a video proclaiming a new Morning in the Church. Ah, it’s a refreshing new morning. To follow the Pope’s movements in the US next month, we can use either of this site or this site. Of course, when the good Pope returns to Rome, he will be able to skate through the corridors and amidst the vast columns of St. Peter’s on his new skateboard. The Vatican has apparently declared that Muslims are more numerous than Catholics. Well, I couldn’t care less. I would have expected that anyway. You just have to trip over to a Muslim country. Has anybody counted the pagans, please? On the Theotokos. The AmericanPapist lists five reasons Muslims convert to Christianity from Christianity Today. Makes good sense. Reason always triumphs over blind religion. Wikimissa? Really? Nice.
Leaping out of Scripture is…
And the angel said to her: Fear not, Mary, for thou hast found grace with God. Behold thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and shalt bring forth a son; and thou shalt call his name Jesus. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the most High; and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of David his father; and he shall reign in the house of Jacob for ever. And of his kingdom there shall be no end. (Lk 1:30-33)
