New book

I picked up Mr. Evan Connell’s Deus, lo volt!, today. It seems to be a creative look at the Crusades. I’m reading through the Amazon reviews now, but I should like a Catholic perspective, should a reader have read this book before. The da Uinci heresy still rings in my ears.

It looks good, in terms of presentation. There are some interesting books of the same kind on Amazon. I’m building up a wish list and I’m planning to make a tall order someday soon.

    Actually, it’s not really a ‘creative look’ at the Crusades. As I read through it, it properly follows history. It’s just quite different from a text-book, told as a biography. I LIKE it.
